New Sgt. Pepper’s event will give the impression The Beatles are playing live

In recent years, technology has played a significant role in enhancing music, both classic and contemporary. Now, fans of The Beatles will be treated to a whole new experience of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

The Beatles lovers, new and old are invited to listen to Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band at an immersive event that through technology will hopefully give the impression that the band is performing live.

The all-new experience is set to take place in Liverpool and will bestow fans with a remixed version of the iconic 1967 album.

The entire record will be played in Dolby Atmos, which is said to create powerful, lifelike sound that flows all around the listener. To make the experience as immersive as possible, fans will be surrounded by these speakers, transporting them to what feels like a live performance by The Beatles themselves.

What makes the remixed version of the incredible album even cooler is that producer George Martin’s original tapes have been remixed by his son Giles Martin. Speaking about the listening experience Martin stated:

“Without Liverpool there would be no ‘Sgt Pepper’s’. Liverpool is where it should be. People will become fully immersed in a soundscape, which is unlike any other. For me, it’s like imagining falling through the vinyl of a record and into this world where you’re surrounded by The Beatles. It’s like sitting in Abbey Road’s Studio 2 and having The Beatles play for you.”

Fans who are vinyl diehards should not fear that the sound quality may be affected. This brand new remix has been specially created to include every detail of the album which the Beatles so thoughtfully included.

The free event will take place at Liverpool’s Dr. Martin Luther King Building between December 19 and January 9 and is set to blow the minds of all Beatles fans.

This incredible event goes to show just how much technology is helping to evolve the many diverse ways that we consume popular culture, especially music.
