Pakistani Politician accidentally live streams press conference with a cat filter on

A Pakistani politician’s live-streamed press conference quickly made a steep descent into cat-astrophe when a cat filter was switched on by mistake during the video.

Shaukat Yousafzai was briefing journalists last Friday when the setting was accidentally turned on.

A Pakistani politician was left feline a little embarrassed after a cat filter gave him and two colleagues whiskers and pointy ears during a live stream.

Provincial Information Minsiter Yousuf Shaukat Zai, from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwest Pakistan, and member of the ruling party PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) was addressing local journalists at a press conference that was being live streamed on social media.

There was a bit of an awkward meowment when cat ears, rosy cheeks, and whiskers appeared on the minister’s face partway into the stream. Two of his colleagues soon also donned the pawsitively hilarious get-up. A purrfect opportunity for a good social media post, the video went viral shortly after.

The PTI quickly removed the video and posted a statement acknowledging the filter and concluded that the incident was a “human error” by one of their “hard-working” volunteers.
