French fashion photographer Vincent Flouret recently launched a project combining two of his greatest obsessions: Madonna and his golden retriever, Max. Dubbed Maxdonna, the series features Max recreating iconic Madonna looks from album covers, press shoots and music video. And they both nail it.
A new project from French fashion photographer Vincent Flouret has seen him recreating iconic Madonna looks with his dog, Max.
Flouret started shooting Max after volunteering with City Shelters in L.A, where he was photographing dogs to help them get adopted.
“[Max] is my priority,” Flouret told Artfido. “Everything is like a game for him so yes, for example, if he needs a hat for a picture, I buy it weeks before and we play with it like if it’s one of his pet toys. And so, it’s ‘normal’ and fun for him when we shoot for real weeks later.”
“These pictures, between the shoots, the homemade costumes, the training took me 8 months to do,” he said. “I am a big fan of Madonna, these pictures I’m doing with Max are tributes to artists that I love and respect. It’s a break between my commercial work, that is bringing me to the simple pleasure of pure creation, love, and happiness.”
Flouret is selling prints of the series, with all proceeds going to Madonna’s charity Raising Malawi, which aims to improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children in Malawi. See the series below, and follow it via the MAX & VINCENT Instagram.
