A porn star has shown support for Billie Eilish’s comments about how watching porn from a young age ruined her brain.
Last week the world unanimously lost their minds over the 20-year-old superstar saying that porn “destroyed her brain”.
Former pornstar Randy Spears, 60, said that he agreed with Eilish and was grateful for her speaking out.
The big-time adult film star, who featured in more than 1400 films from 1987 to 2011, told TMZ: “Billie has a lot of guts to come out and speak her mind on an issue like this. I applaud it”.
Spears commented on how watching porn from such a young age can really screw up your perception of sex: “When we’re that young our brains don’t have the capacity to digest [hardcore porn]. Who in their right mind would want their seven-year-old to be watching some woman with seven guys? It’s pretty despicable stuff.”
He continued: “If your brain is still growing and you have very little life experience and you’re trying to digest that and make sense of that I can see exactly how she could feel that way.”
When Spears began his career in the industry, there wasn’t much of a chance for kids to come across his work, except for in those exciting moments where you could get a hold of your parent’s off-limits VCR.
The content in porn has been amped up to the extreme since viewers have been so desensitised due to free-streaming online porn.
Basically, porn is going to be harder and harder on young developing minds to see if things don’t change.
Spears pointed out what role models like Billie Eilish could do to help: “[I hope] she uses some of her fame as a platform to help young girls and young men who are affected by this kind of thing. There’s nowhere to go for this kind of thing,” he stated.
“It’s a very real addiction and it can be really damaging to a young person.”
