PREMIERE: AUGUSTA unveil their blistering new EP Alice

Since forming in mid-2017, Gold Coast based five-piece AUGUSTA have belted out a searing brand of old-school rock n’ roll that’ll slap you right across the head. It’s a no-bullshit approach to music, and once you dive into their explosive sounds, we guarantee you’ll never want to leave.

Now, the band have unveiled their new EP Alice, and with its release, they’ve firmly established themselves as one of the most exciting emerging acts in the country.

With the release of their new EP Alice, Gold-Coast based quintet AUGUSTA have established their intentions of belting out raw and unapologetic rock.

Throughout the EP, AUGUSTA stomp through a blistering concoction of 70’s-style rock and blues to craft a sound uniquely their own. With blistering guitars, bone-rattling percussion, and flailing vocal hooks, their music will crawl under your skin and make your body move.

Across its four-track duration, Alice pulls in myriad directions – it never sits in one place for too long. One moment you’ll find yourself getting blasted by an explosion of rock fury, and the next you’ll be immersed in an emotive power ballad. As the band traverse through these different sonic territories, they develop a truly dynamic listening experience.

These are still relatively early days for this Queensland band, but judging by what we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality tunes. For now, do yourself a favour and listen to the new EP above.
