It was in December last year that Gold Coast-based five-piece Augusta unveiled their latest EP Alice, and ever since then, we’ve had the thing spinning on repeat. The EP was a searing collection of tracks that slapped us right across the head in the best way possible.
Though today, the band have delivered a brand-spanking-new video clip for the EP’s opening track, Pretend. It should go without saying that we’re stoked to be premiering it for you today.

The new video clip sees Augusta belting out the track live in a warehouse space, as audience members come flocking to the stage. The band deliver a performance fitting to the track’s raw energy, and we guarantee that once you hit play on this video, you’ll be entranced until the very end.
“Pretend reflects on those people in our lives who, just because we’ve met them through a friend or in a forced social setting, now assumes that we have a relationship and proceeds to annoy the hell out of you,” vocalist Joey says of the track.
This new video for Pretend is the latest in a string of consistently great releases from Augusta. Here’s hoping we won’t have to wait long to hear what they deliver next.
