Back in April, when they dropped their debut single Don’t Care, we were immediately introduced to the jangly, lo-fi sounds of Crushed Tinniez.
Now, with the release of their follow-up single Checkin’ Out, the band have stepped up the quality without losing any of their scuzzy, DIY charm.
If Checkin’ Out – the insanely infectious new single from Penrith three-piece Crushed Tinniez – doesn’t leave you feelin’ good, then you’re probably a dickhead.
Brimming with deeply infectious guitar lines and vocal melodies, the new track sees Crushed Tinniez breeze through a loveable blend of warm indie-rock instrumentation and smarmy pop hooks reminiscent of Hockey Dad or Skegss.
Made up of Jack Isaacs, Matt Wigham and Kane Vardon, the band describe themselves as a “coupla mates just having fun,” and this new single holds true to that mission statement. It’s seriously addictive, and undeniably a good time. If Checkin’ Out doesn’t leave you feelin’ good, then you’re probably a dickhead.
These are still early days in Crushed Tinniez’ career, but judging from what we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect more great tunes courtesy of this Penrith band.
