PREMIERE: Broken heart? Let Jake Bosci melt it back together in synth-soaked new single Losing You

They say if you truly love something, let it go. And although many people actually fail at at putting this to practice, Jake Bosci is the exception to the rule.

Losing You is Bosci’s latest creation and needless to say, it’s a real tear jerker.

It’s not Jake Bosci’s soothing vocals, painfully honest lyrics or atmospheric synth that tug on our heartstrings, it’s all of the above and much, much more.

Previously calling LA home only to return to Australia, this Brisbane based singer/songwriter has built his career through shimmering indie-pop tunes that connect with audiences through raw and honest lyrics.

Touching on subjects that most 20-somethings resonate with when transitioning into the real world, Losing You delves into the depths of love, heartbreak, growing up and the confusion that comes with it all.

With debut single Heartbreak and six track EP Wild Love already on the trophy shelf, it’s no surprise Bosci has released yet another folky shiner. Opening with soft acoustic guitar accompanied by Bosci’s soothing vocals, Losing You slowly takes a more dramatic turn as a wave of echoey beats and synth wash over the once noiseless background.

Despite the burst of sonics, Losing You maintains the same level of tranquility and serenity, with an added ambience that gives a floating-down-stream feel.

As the song introduces some keyboard strokes amongst the sweeps of synth, it’s as if Bosci’s lyrics are emotionally in sync with each musical element. With a voice so passionate and soothing, Bosci sings of his own dismal fate and letting the one he loves go, even if it means they find happiness with another.

We can’t help but be bewildered by Bosci’s honest lyrics and commend his bold, self-expressive move in Losing You. Creating raw, captivating tunes that manage to tug on those heartstrings time and time again, make Jake Bosci one to keep an eye out for.
