PREMIERE: Peach Fur deliver an inter-galactic indie rock jam on Aliens

Gold Coast quartet Peach Fur have been rattling around for a while now, having dropped their debut single back in 2015 and their debut album, Doreen Drive, last July. Over that period of time the band have slowly but surely honed their craft, earning a reputation as a stellar live act in the process. Now they’re back with another studio cut, in the form of new single Aliens.

Aliens, the new rack from Peach Fur, combines surf-flecked guitar riffs with delicate vocal harmonies, spacey washes of organ and a seemingly infinite number of tempo changes.

The track shuffles effortlessly between breezy, melodic, guitar-based verses and dense psychedelic interludes, in a way that is engaging rather than jarring. As the title would suggest, Aliens depicts extra-terrestrials journeying down to earth and attempting to blend in with society. “How are you gonna feel when they arrive?” frontman Denny Hidler sings, as the track takes a sharp turn into psychedelic territory, exploding in a wash of spacey organ chords.

You’re not alone”, Hilder repeats, before the track gradually unwinds with a wandering but gradually ascending guitar interlude. Testament to the band’s musical chops, Aliens is spacious and cerebral, and a good sign of things to come from Peach Fur.

The band are sit to head the road with WHARVES in November. Dates and more info can be found below:
