PREMIERE: The Know unveil their epic new single Honey

Since forming in 2017, inner-west based quintet The Know have built themselves as one of Sydney’s most promising emerging acts. With a pair of EPs and a string of huge sold-out local shows under their collective belt, the band have spent the past number of years honing their bluesy brand of rock.

Now, with the release of their latest EP Honey, it seems the band are ready to take their sounds far and wide. Here’s a hot tip from the team here at Happy Mag: you’re going to want to keep an eye on this band.

On their epic new single Honey, Sydney-based five-piece The Know present a blistering slice of bluesy alt-rock brilliance.

Across the new single’s four-and-a-half-minute duration, The Know strut through a groove-laden blend of blues, rock, and soul to deliver a sound uniquely their own. With crunching guitar riffs, air-tight percussion, and resonant vocal hooks, Honey will seep deep into your bones and stay there for weeks.

As the track progresses, the band navigate myriad sonic territories—they never sit in one place for too long. One moment you’ll be tapping along to a chugging bass line, and the next you’ll be getting smacked in the face by a searing guitar solo. By the time the track reaches its conclusion, you’ll have been roped in completely by The Know’s blistering alt-rock sounds.

These are still relatively early days for this Sydney band, but judging by the quality of everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality tunes.

For now, do yourself a favour and listen to the new track above.

Catch The Know live at The Lansdowne Hotel in Sydney on June 22nd. More info here.
