Canadian singer-songwriter Ryan Valentine’s latest release Under A Spell is a heartfelt tune with gutsy and thoughtful instrumentation.

Valentine found inspiration for Under A Spell, the first taste of his debut album Evolution, through remembering the difficult experiences of leaving home at 19 to pursue a music career.
Getting his start performing on cruise ships around Australia when he was just 21, he acknowledges the paths that lead where he is now, sharing:
“I grew up in a place where there was not much around me to pursue the dreams I had.”
With musical nods to dreamy songwriters such as James Bay and John Mayer, the infectiousness of Under A Spell is curated by the jarring electric guitar chords, offbeat drums and catchy lyricism.
Ryan worked with acclaimed producer Jesse Barrera on his first self-titled EP and has just wrapped up recording in the UK alongside him again on his LP Evolution. Since the EP’s release in 2015, the Canadian crooner has toured the country of his new home, Australia, making a name for himself in the land Down Under.
