Sony has announced a new set of PS5 controllers and console covers emblazoned by a galaxy-themed palette.
Sony has recently revealed a set of new PS5 controllers in a series of galaxy-themed colours, followed by a set of custom console covers in the same colours, which will be available for both the PS5 disc and digital editions.
It’s the first solid set of customisation options released for the PS5 so far, following a black and red controller announced a few months ago. During the pre-release marketing phase of the PS5, Sony did mention a new level of customisation coming to the console, so it’s great to see them delivering on that promise.
The new DualSense wireless controllers and the console covers (each sold separately) will come in Nova Pink, Galactic Purple, and Starlight Blue. They will launch in the USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, and the Philippines.
Sony also plans to launch them in other countries during 2022, and will announce the details at a later date.
Do note that the official launch dates for the new PS5 controllers and the new console covers vary depending on your location, so be sure to check with your local retailer. Additionally, a number of these products will be made available via early access for direct.playstation.com customers in the US, UK, France, and Germany.
The new Dualsense wireless controllers in Galactic Purple will be available on direct.playstation.com from 14th January 2022, while stocks last. It will be offered at participating retailers from 22nd February onwards.
