Queens of the Stone Age have reportedly “just finished” a new record

This morning we were gifted with the glorious news that Queens of the Stone Age will headline the huge Splendour In The Grass 2017 lineup. Well, now it seems like we may get a new record from the band before they head our way in July.

It seems that we may get a new Queens of the Stone Age Record before they head our way for Splendour, reportedly it was “just finished”.

In his latest podcast episode of ‘Let There Be Talk‘, host Dean Delray had a chat with former QOTSA collaborator Mark Lanegan.

“Did you sing on the new Queens at all or no?” asks Delray, before Lanegan replies “I did not,” and Delray responds with, “Have you heard it? I know they just finished, I’m dying to hear it.”

As Ultimate Guitar notes, Delray has long been on good terms with QOTSA, being in regular contact having had several members of the line-up on his show in the past.

With big festival slots at Splendour and Fuji Rock looming this winter, it seems pretty likely we won’t have to wait too long to hear new tunes from the band.

In the meantime.
