Relive the UK’s nineties rave scene with this new short film

In conjunction with YouTube Music, Filmmaker Bexy Cameron has released a new short film exploring the UK’s rave scene of the late 80’s and 90’s.

Titled Lost Club Culture, the short film features previously unseen footage from the past thirty years.

Lost Club Culture, a new short film from Bexy Cameron, explores the world of the UK’s rave scene in the late eighties and early nineties.

The new film explores clubs like The Roadhouse, The Tube, and Plastic People… and uncovers what the culture and these venues meant to iconic names like DJ Rap, A Guy Called Gerald, and Paul Oakenfold.

I think about the UK at that time and the political and economic climate – Thatcher, coal mines, strikes – and then we have an emergence of a scene about love and unity,” Cameron says.

Rave was so important, and even 30 years on it’s still important.
