Snarky Puppy are returning to Australia for three huge Bluesfest sideshows

Beloved jam band Snarky Puppy have just announced three Australian sideshows around their performance at next year’s Bluesfest.

Boasting as many as 40 musicians at a time, group members hail from Japan, Argentina, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Puerto Rico.

Snarky Puppy represents a perfect fusion of virtuosic musical tradition and the conceptual auditory experience of contemporary music.

The exploratory roots of Snarky Puppy consistently delve into jazz, rock and funk elements. The combination of this and the heavy rotation of nearly 25 members in the group is a rich and one-of-a-kind experience for their listeners.

The group was formed by bassist and leader Michael League just over 12 years ago in Texas. Since then the band has performed regularly with artists like Erykah Badu, Snoop Dogg, Kirk Franklin, Justin Timberlake and Marcus Miller among many others.

After relocating to New York, the quasi-collective have relentlessly toured and performed across the world. The group also have three Grammy awards under their belt.

Snarky Puppy will be bringing their charismatic collective to Australia in April next year for a series of huge sideshows.
