If you’re not doing any of the above, then why not go to a local gig instead? Folk-rock crooner Timberwolf has been on a roll as of late since releasing his EP Flux. It’s raw as raw can be, with his incredible vocals and enviable guitar chops almost stealing the show. And old mates Stonefox will be there too!

Coda Conduct – Brighton Up Bar, Friday August 21

Speaking of old mates, golden girls Coda Conduct are in Sydney tonight to throw down some sweet hip-hop beats. The duo have recently dropped their latest single Paint it Gold and have also shared the hilarious early demo of that song Hotdog’s Coming to Town, if you’re keen for a larff check it out. Or you can just see the two in person.

Moses Gunn Collective – Shebeen, August 21

The glitter bonanza that is Moses Gunn Collective have kicked off their big national tour of the back of releasing their debut album Mercy Mountain. We’ll make this simple for you, that record is brilliant and you’re an idiot if you don’t love it.

Drunk Mums – The Tote, August 21

Nope, we’re not talking about the pack of cougars eyeing you off at the local RSL. There’s not much we have to say to sell this one, chaotic rock and some of the best hair we’ve seen from an Aussie rock band. Not to mention that their newbie Pub On My Own a bloody cracker as well.
