Stop what you’re doing, Tame Impala just released a new single!

After teasing some audio in an Instagram post a few weeks back, Tame Impala have finally given us a taste of new music. Earlier today, Kevin Parker posted to Instagram, saying “New track. 1 hour. Speakers/headphones ready people“.

Now, it’s finally here. Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you Patience.

For the first time since 2015, Perth psych-pop heroes Tame Impala have given us new music. Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you Patience.

Patience marks Tame Impala’s first slice of new music since their 2015 album Currents, and is likely the first taste off their upcoming fourth full-length album, the details of which are yet to be shared.

Parker has spent the past number of years collaborating with a variety of artists, including Mark Ronson, Theophilus London, Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, and a pretty huge stack of others.

But now, Parker has re-focused on the band that initially brought him fame, Tame Impala… and we’re pretty stoked about that.

The band have recently been announced for a string of the world’s biggest festivals, so we’re hoping a Splendour In The Grass 2019 set could be in the cooker.

For now, do yourself a favour and listen to the new track above, and keep your eyes peeled – we’re sure more new music isn’t too far off.
