Sydney Guitar Festival have announced their epic second round of artists

As if it wasn’t already huge enough, Sydney Guitar Festival have announced a killer second round of artists.

Leading the charge is Marc Ribot, who has worked with an endless list of huge names, including Robert Plant, Elvis Costello, John Mellencamp, and of course Tom Waits.

Sydney Guitar Festival just stepped things up a notch with the announcement of their second round of artists. It’s a guitar lovers paradise.

Ribot was an integral part in the development of Waits’ seminal, genre-bending 1985 masterpiece Rain Dogs. Definitely not an act to be missed.

Two of Spain’s most prominent flamenco guitarists Pedro Javier Gonzalez and Paco Lara will also be descending upon Sydney’s shores this August, alongside Australia’s own Bandaluzia, who have amassed a cult-like following through their stirring performances full of musical virtuosity.

Also announced in the second round lineup are Z-Star Trinity, Turner Brown Band, Pioneers Of Rock N Roll, and a whole heap more.

These second round artists will be joining Tommy Emmanuel, Kaki King, and Albert Lee, among many others.

If you’ve ever so much as considered picking up a guitar, this festival is definitely for you. I can’t wait.
