Kicking off this April at the iconic Sydney Opera House, the Generations and Dynasties series will showcase the incredible musical journeys of three esteemed families: the Jarretts, the Briscoe sisters, and the Cassar-Daleys.

Hosted by the Opera House’s First Nations programming team, Michael Hutchings and Jess Beck, the series promises to be a heartwarming exploration of family, creativity, and the enduring spirit of First Nations culture.

April 24th: Join the legendary Jarrett family – hip-hop pioneer Wire MC, and his sons, the rising stars Tasman Keith and Sammy J (Kapital J). Expect a night of rhythmic storytelling and powerful insights into their Gumbaynggirr heritage and impact on the Australian music scene.
May 1st: Witness the musical magic of the Briscoe sisters – three talented women from Kuku Yalanji country who have carved their own paths in music and cultural work for over two decades. This special evening will also feature the next generation of Briscoe artistry, including daughters and granddaughters taking the stage to share their unique voices.
May 9th: Be captivated by the father-daughter duo, Troy Cassar-Daley and Jem Cassar-Daley. With a combined legacy of musical excellence – Troy’s iconic country music and Jem’s captivating indie-pop sound – this evening promises a rich tapestry of musical styles and shared passion.
