Sydney Underground Film Festival unveil their exceptional 2018 program

For its 12th year, Sydney Underground Film Festival is back with another exceptional program, once again shining a light on the wonderful world of cult and underground film.

While SUFF always feature a selection of completely whacked films, this year’s festival looks to be the most mind-blowing yet.

Sydney Underground Film Festival (SUFF) is back for another year, and they’ve brought with them another incredible catalogue of underground cinema.

Opening the 2018 instalment of the festival will be Mega Time Squad; an NZ sci-fi action-comedy directed by Tim Van Dammen that follows a bumbling criminal who staggers upon a time machine. The screening will be followed by a special Q&A with the director and lead actor Jonny Brugh.

The festival will also feature such music documentaries as Here to Be Heard: The Story of the Slits, which follows the trailblazing career of the world’s first all-female punk band The Slits.

For its closing night, SUFF will be screening the action-horror Mandy, the latest from visionary writer-director, Panos Cosmatos.

On top of all this SUFF, will feature a brand-new program of filmmaking workshops, and the inaugural Inhuman Screens Conference, which aims to open a conversation around how technology has re-defined what it means to be human.

Check out the full program for yourself over at the festival website.
