Uma Thurman and Quentin Tarantino had dinner together earlier this week and the following day, American broadcaster Andy Cohen just happened to ask the right question to the now 56-year-old iconic filmmaker, “Kill Bill 3 – will it happen?”
“I have an idea now that could be interesting.”
A third instalment to the legendary two-part epic Kill Bill has always been a gossip point question since the first two releases back in the mid 2000s. Tarantino hasn’t been quiet about the possibility of a third movie either, which has only fuelled speculation as to when and what it will be…
Tarantino confirms The Bride will make a return to the screen once he’s developed the perfect story for Kill Bill 3.
To Tarantino’s credit he’s aware there’s a lot riding on bringing The Bride back for another hurrah and the time spent not making a third Kill Bill film is time spent developing the perfect third addition to the beloved Kill Bill franchise.
“I didn’t just want to come up with some cockamamie adventure. She doesn’t deserve that. The Bride has fought long and hard.”
What’s even more precarious about this situation is that his latest film Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood is the directors 9th feature film and if you’ve been following the man’s every word, you will know he plans to hang up his boots after completion of movie number 10.
In the same interview with Andy Cohen, Tarantino has revealed that he didn’t stop working after Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood and that he has a stage play and 5-part miniseries that should be the bulk of his output for the next 3 years.
But hey, don’t think Kill Bill 3 is a pipe dream as Tarantino confirmed that a return to the story of The Bride “is definitely in the cards.”
