The Jesus and Mary Chain are bringing their all-enveloping sound to Australia next year

Throw your earplugs out the window – The Jesus and Mary Chain are returning down under next March for a series of shows.

JAMC became known for their immensely loud, amped-up guitar sounds and for not moving around on stage much. They preferred to “let smoky effects, floods of lights and a monstrous sound do the work in getting their songs over to the audience,” according to this review of one of their 2017 shows.

Throw your earplugs out – Scottish post-punkers The Jesus and Mary Chain are returning to Australia next March for a series of amped-up, feedback-drenched shows.

Since brothers Jim and William Reid formed the band in 1983, JAMC saw various different incarnations, including a stint with Bobby Gillespie before he moved on to form Primal Scream.

The band split in 1999, but returned in 2007 when they played at Coachella. They pioneered their own brand of feedback-fed rock, and the brothers have remained as cool and cutting edge now as they were three decades ago.

Don’t miss out on experiencing The Jesus and Mary Chain’s megalithic wall of sound.

Pre-sale tickets are available from 9am October 31, and general tickets are on sale from 8am November 2.
