The Weeknd New Album

Expected to arrive this year, The Weeknd has announced the title of his upcoming album on Instagram, sending fans into a frenzy.

The Weeknd seems to like spacing out his albums to drop once every two years, with debut album Starboy released in 2016 followed by 2018 EP My Dear Melancholy, and here we are two years later once again expecting a new release.

Since the EP’s release, he has dropped a number of standalone singles including Lost in the Fire and Power Is Power; a collaboration with SZA and Travis Scott that appeared in Game of Thrones’ For the Throne soundtrack.

He has even tried his hand at acting, cameoing as himself in Netflix film Uncut Gems, starring Adam Sandler.

The styling and promotion of the After Hours era has sparked interest with the R&B artist even appearing on Jimmy Kimmel with his blood-soaked costume.

The singer revealed the new record details on February 13 with a 45-second moody cinematic clip, sparking pops of red and orange lights leaving you in a spin.
