Brendan Fraser’s starring role in the newly-premiered film, The Whale is said to mark his big Hollywood “comeback.”
The A24 motion picture by Darren Aronofsky, titled The Whale, just premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, and has been very well-received thus far. The star-studded cast comprises Brendan Fraser, Sadie Sink, Hong Chau and Samantha Morton.
Above all, a highlight for many is the work of Brendan Fraser, who plays the character ‘Charlie’ in the film. After a lengthy hiatus from the Hollywood limelight, fans are stoked to see him back. According to reports, the now widely-celebrated film, which debuted on Sunday (September 4), was treated to a six-minute standing ovation after its premiere.
In even bigger news, Brendan Fraser’s portrayal of ‘Charlie’ has scored him the Toronto International Film Festival’s TIFF Tribute Award, which he is scheduled to accept soon. Additionally, the film was promptly recognised by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The Whale is an American psychological drama film, slated for release in the US on December 9, 2022.
