Tom Holland may be in the running to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond, according to new reports.
The rumor mill has churned out yet another potential replacement for the role of 007 in the next James Bond movie. Tom Holland, the Spider-Man star, has now joined the ranks of other actors speculated to be in the running, including Idris Elba, Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy and Regé-Jean Page.
One of the reasons Tom Holland is being considered as a potential candidate for the role is because producers of James Bond reportedly want to cast a younger actor for the next installment of the film series. If this is true, this would certainly give Tom Holland, the 26-year-old Marvel actor, an upper hand over Elba, Cavill Hardy and Page.
On the likelihood of Tom landing the role, Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said, “Tom Holland might not be the traditional Bond type, but the odds suggest he has a slight chance of replacing Daniel Craig, and plenty of punters seem to think the same.”
The quest for Daniel Craig’s replacement as Bond has been ongoing since No Time to Die was released in 2021. The film was the 25th installment in the James Bond series, and also marked 15 years of Craig playing the role before calling it quits. According to reports, an official announcement about the next 007 is likely to arrive later this year.
