Tom Waits, Bill Murray, Iggy Pop, and more cast in Jim Jarmusch’s upcoming zombie flick

Three years after his last feature, Jim Jarmusch has been working tirelessly on his newest project.

The zombie flick The Dead Don’t Die attracted plenty of attention with the announcement of its leads, and now in the lead-up to its premiere at Cannes Film Festival in May, more names have been announced.

Jim Jarmusch is rolling out the red carpet for his latest feature, zombie flick The Dead Don’t Die, which features some massive names and faces.

Joining heavyweights Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Selena Gomez, Chloë Sevigny, Tilda Swinton, and Steve Buscemi will be some iconic names in film and music. Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, Danny Glover, Rosie Perez, Caleb Landry Jones, Sara Driver, Carol Cane and Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA have all been announced as part of the film.

The film’s premiere in May will then be followed by a worldwide theatre release from June 14th. Until then, not too much is know, given the plot has been kept a tight secret by Jarmusch and all involved. However, Bill Murray has described the film as “hilarious” which is more than encouraging.

From the onset photos floating around, all we really know is that there’s plenty of blood, Tilda Swinton looks suitably Tilda Swinton-y, and Adam Driver has a fuck off massive machete.

In other Iggy Pop news, the Godfather of Punk himself will be headlining Bluesfest 2019 this April in Byron Bay, Australia. Plus as fate would have it, he’ll be celebrating his 72nd birthday at the show.
