Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero are back together in a new animated sci-fi show

Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero are back in the drivers seat, or pilots seat, with SpaceWorld! The new animated series that sees The Room actors go to a galaxy far, far away.

Described as ‘what happens when The Room meets Star Wars‘, the animated series sees Wiseau’s character TX searching for his origin on a planet he knows nothing about. Sestero provides the voice for TX’s arch nemesis Drogol.

Tommy Wiseau makes complete sense as a whacked out starship pilot in SpaceWorld, as long as he is donning his quintessential ‘New Orleans’ accent.

Thankfully, the series will not be helmed by Wiseau, who wrote, directed and self funded his infamous 2003 cult film. SpaceWorld is the brain child of creator by Brock Laborde who released the pilot episode of the series through the YouTube channel Octopie.

The animation promises not to take itself too seriously, claiming that it lets itself be ‘straight up dumb’. It seems like Wiseau is ready to have few laughs at his own expense as well. The project comes two years after the release of James Franco’s The Disaster Artist, which explored the production of The Room.
