It has obviously been a big week for Elon Musk and Grimes, whose unusual behaviour and new bundle of joy have struck headlines more than once. But alas, the drama is far from over.
There has been public outroar surrounding the name the pair have given to their first son: X Æ A-12. Now, it looks like even the law might get involved.
Elon Musk and Grimes may have to change their son’s name after it was revealed that the use of numbers and symbols is illegal in the State of California.
Apparently, there are rules that govern what you can and can’t call your child, and children who are born in the State of California must be named using only the 26 letters of the alphabet. This means no symbols or numbers are allowed in a child’s name. That leaves poor baby X Æ A-12 with not much to work with.

Now we have to wait for an amendment to the name, and we sure aren’t expecting Tom, Dick or Harry. In fact, we are almost positive that the couple has been up for days brainstorming wacky words, where only the strangest letter combinations will do. We will be sure to update you as soon as we discover baby Tesla’s new name. But for now, why don’t you tweet some ridiculous suggestions @Elonmusk. He might just consider them.
