Fan of VHS? Then the new video from Illawarra garage rockers DLUNA will be right up your alley.
Night Steps is the band’s first single, to be taken from their forthcoming, long-awaited EP of the same name. The accompanying video is a trippy ode to the power of VHS with some super grainy footage collating images of the band tearing through the track.
Speaking about the video, lead singer Jareth Lesile-Evans comments: “I guess for our first clip we didn’t want to make anything too serious. Nor did we want to make something dumb. I feel we found the right mid ground in using the green screen and those editing techniques.”
The tune itself is a lovely collection of tight, blistering rock ‘n’ roll, taking cue from 60s soul and garage with jangly riffs and tight, refined vocals.
To celebrate, the band are playing a bunch of shows in Sydney and Wollongong. Check out the dates below:
12th February – Oxford Art Factory Gallery Bar, Darlinghurst
13th February – Music Farmers, Wollongong
21st February – The Brass Monkey, Cronulla
