Benjamin Keough, the son of American singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Presley, and the grandson of American rock and roll icon Elvis Presley, has passed away aged 27, in Calabasas, California.
Reports suggest that the cause of death was suicide from a gunshot wound.
The son of Lisa Marie Presley and the grandson of Elvis Presley, Benjamin Keough, has sadly passed away at the age of 27.
“She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley,” Roger Widynowski, a representative for Lisa Marie Presley, described in a statement. “She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”
Keough is also the son of musician Danny Keough and maternal grandson of Priscilla Presley. In 2009, he signed a $5 million record deal with Universal to record five albums, however, no records were ever released.
Keough is survived by older sister Riley Keough, and 11-year-old half-sibling twins, Finley and Harper Lockwood. In June last year, Presley posted a photo of herself with her four children along with the caption: “Mama Lion with cubs.”

Back in 2012, Keough and his siblings appeared in the video for Presley’s I Love You Because, in which she sang a duet with her father Elvis on his 1954 song, alongside archival footage.
Tributes have flown in for Keough and the Presley family over Twitter:
