Watch comedian Amber Ruffin create guilt-free alternatives to art created by problematic men

Have you lately felt conflicted watching the work of artists and actors who have recently been exposed as being quite shit people? Does House of Cards kind of make you cringe now? Has Annie Hall kind of lost its magic?

This week, comedian Amber Ruffin aired a skit on Late Night with Seth Meyers that presented guilt-free alternatives to art created by problematic men.

Watch Comedian Amber Ruffin as she recreates art created by problematic men, so you don’t have to feel guilty watching them.

“Hello, I’m some lady called Amber, and I haven’t sexually assaulted a single person. Am I the best singer, dancer or movie-maker there ever was? No. But no woman’s ever gonna wake up in my bed talking about ‘how did I get here?’,” Ruffin says before launching into a collection of sketches where she masquerades as Chris Brown, Kevin Spacey, Woody Allen, Bill Cosby and more.

“Live the problematic-free life you’ve longed for,” she says. “With my guilt-free takes on the classics, there’s no need to separate the art from the artist. You can throw them both in the garbage.”
