The White House lists “ending the COVID-19 pandemic” in new report of Trump achievements

The White House and Trump Administration have released a report which lists “ENDING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC” amongst their top achievements.

The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy has just released a detailed news report listing all of the supposed scientific and technological accomplishments that have been achieved by the Trump Administration during Donald Trump’s first term as US President.

The contentious report is 62 pages long, and amongst the list of highlights, it states that “ENDING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC” has been one of their greatest achievements. This is despite the US having the highest death statistics in the world and the country continuing to set records for the number of new daily infections.

This wild claim goes on to say: “From the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Administration has taken decisive actions to engage scientists and health professionals in academia, industry, and government to understand, treat, and defeat the disease.”

Although the claim is a blatant lie (and wrong AF to put on in official document) it doesn’t really come as much of a surprise, seeing as Trump has continuously downplayed the severity of COVID-19 throughout his presidency and reelection campaign. He even admitted to doing so in a conversation that was caught on tape, describing: To be honest with you, I wanted to always play it down. I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic.”

Trump continues to hold jam-packed campaign rallies and insists that the US is “rounding the turn” in regards to COVID-19, whilst slating the media for focusing on the country’s rising cases and struggling hospitals.

The US has so far recorded a total of more than 8.7 million COVID-19 cases and approximately 226,000 deaths, more than any other country, and figures are continuing to rapidly rise.
