Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for Between Two Ferns: The Movie, the celebrity-filled feature film adaptation based on Zach Galifianakis‘ Funny Or Die interview web-series.
Between Two Ferns: The Movie is set for a Netflix release on September 20, with the trailer dropping earlier this week that is a promising two-part talk show and one-part road comedy.
Zach Galifianakis has adapted his Funny or Die web series into a feature-length Netflix film with a string of celebrities and awkward questions.
The film is directed by Scott Aukerman and will follow Galifianakis and his camera crew on a comedic 10-day road trip in hopes of landing a network TV talk show.
As per the Netflix synopsis, the former Saturday Night Live personality will have the chance to host his own talk show if he can “complete a series of high-profile celebrity interviews”.
The trailer begins with a Matthew McConaughey interview gone wrong and the film escalates from there, with Galifianakis forced on a road trip to fix his reputation, with the result of awkward celebrity conversations and little self-awareness.
The film features a star-studded cast, including Will Ferrell, Chance The Rapper, Peter Dinklage, Paul Rudd and heaps more.
