American singer-songwriter Zella Day has released her meditative new song Holocene, featuring the talented Weyes Blood. Accompanied by a lyric video of snow melting on the hill, the dreamy artist gives hope for a brighter, warmer day, a time of healing after a year of suffering.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Day explained the song’s underlying themes of healing and renewal: “I’ve never lived through a world war but I imagine that what we are dealing with is comparable suffering on the global scale.”
