Holy fuck, what a year from King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. After initially claiming they would drop four albums through 2017, they then upped that number to five. And we’ll be damned, looks like they’re going to deliver on that promise.
After the surprise release of Polygondwanaland for free in November (which is already being pressed to vinyl by the way), the wizards had but a month to give us the final piece of the puzzle.
As of last week, they started delivering.
2017 isn’t done yet, and neither are King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Get your ears around the pieces of their fifth and final album of the year.
Gizz kicked things of with All Is Known and Beginners Luck, which were followed up by The Last Oasis and Loyalty just yesterday. Check them all out below. So far it seems like a pretty eclectic collection but with over half the record still under wraps, it could go in any direction.
As promised, it looks like album number five will come “very late in the year”. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t say no to a new Gizz track to bring in 2018.
Can’t wait to see what these freaks pump out next year.
