Instagram takes down Madonna’s nudes… and she’s not happy!

Madonna has given new meaning to “express yourself” by posting a series of racy photos on her Instagram account.

The 63-year-old superstar hit back at Instagram after the platform removed her latest scandalous posts.

She slammed Instagram, saying they are fuelling the double standards of male and female nudity.

For someone who claimed to be a ‘Material Girl’ there sure was a lack of it in the scandalous album of images.

The pictures featured Madonna in fishnet tights, high heels and topless with a nipple clearly visible.

The 80s phenomenon has since reposted the photos with nipples censored, writing that she finds it “astounding” that “we live in a culture that allows every inch of a woman’s body to be shown except a nipple.”

She further continued, “As if that is the only part of a woman’s anatomy that could be sexualized. The nipple that nourishes the baby!

“Can’t a mans nipple be experienced as erotic ??!! And what about a woman’s ass which is never censored anywhere.”

The post was wrapped up with a thank you message to her fans and supporters.

“Giving thanks that I have managed to maintain my sanity through four decades of censorship … … sexism … … ageism and misogyny. Perfectly timed with the lies we have been raised to believe about the pilgrims peacefully breaking bread with the Native American Indians when they landed on Plymouth Rock! God bless America.”

Any images and/or videos presenting nudity are banned on Instagram, including those displaying female nipples. This rule led to what is known as the “free the nipple” movement.

In further Madonna drama, an earlier post from the megastar, thanking those who contributed to her latest project, a photoshoot for V magazine, is receiving backlash.

Talking on the character of her most recent alter ego, ‘Madame X’, Madonna posted: “Against all odds and with very little support from non-artistic people who kept pushing back and the fact that we did it with almost zero budget we were still able to make ART! Art is not dead if you have the strength to fight for what you believe in!”

“Thanks to all who did support us and slept on couches and worked long hours and for free all to support madame x who is not only here to disturb the peace but to keep art alive.”

People hit back at the superstar, questioning why an individual with a net worth of $850 million was allowing people to work unpaid.

“Worked for free??? Why didn’t you pay them yourself? Are you short on cash or something,” one person wrote.

The “Like a Virgin” singer is not one to shy away from expressing herself, with previous Instagram dramas including the spread of covid misinformation, photoshopping her face on a fan’s body and calling her own son the N-word.

The artist really has brought to life the meaning of her 1998 hit “Nothing Really Matters”.
