Absolutely do not listen to this Gorillaz Christmas playlist if you want to stay on Santa’s nice list

Gorillaz’ virtual bassist Murdoc Niccals has spoiled us with an early Christmas present.

If there’s anything we can take away from the playlist, it’s that Murdoc has definitely been naughty this year.

Sent from his virtual habitat, not only is Murdoc’s playlist made to “get you feeling festive” – it’s building anticipation for new Gorillaz music.

Titled Murdoc’s Dirty Santa Playlist, the mix includes Mistress For Christmas by AC/DC, Santa Claus Goes Straight to the Ghetto by Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg and Christmas Card From a Hooker in Minneapolis by Tom Waits.

In August, The Guardian confirmed in an interview that De La Soul and Snoop Dogg are collaborating on the next Gorillaz album. Furthermore, in September, they created a fresh Instagram account and resurrected the Gorillaz website – providing the public a more-than-obvious hint that new music is on the way.

Murdoc chatted to Noisey on October 31, explaining the four-year disappearance of the band after their last studio album, The Falls, was largely due to an entrapping agreement with EMI.

Now, the animated British band is back, their latest escapade being Murdoc sharing this sneaky and cheeky festive playlist.

Whether you’re naughty or nice, take heed from his own words: “Enjoy irresponsibly.”
