Alanis Morissette has announced that she will be hosting a live-stream performance of her album, Jagged Little Pill. In support of the Actor’s Fund, the live-stream will donate relief efforts to support those impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Titled You Live, You Learn: A Night With Alanis and Jagged Little Pill, fans can catch the live-stream on both Facebook and YouTube.
Alanis Morissette is bringing us a live-stream of Jagged Little Pill to hit Facebook and YouTube streaming services on the 19th of May 2020.
Her third studio album, Jagged Little Pill was first dropped in 1995 to an international audience in what was Morissette’s worldwide debut. But most excitingly, the live-stream will be a collaboration between Morissette and the cast of Jagged Little Pill the musical – a broadway show curated around the album.
Currently touring, the show has been put on hold in accordance with Covid-19 safety regulations and in recognition of the strain the pandemic has put on actors and performers, all proceeds from the live-stream will supply emergency relief to members of the professional theatre community. Morissette was also set to tour in celebration of 25 years since the release of Jagged Little Pill but the tour has been postponed until mid-2021.
In an attempt to make the live-stream as collaborative as possible, fans are encouraged to enter a range of contests to win prizes – including the opportunity to be featured in the stream by submitting a cover of one of Morissette’s tracks.
You can find out more about how you can win here, otherwise sit tight until next Tuesday, May 19 for the official event.
