A monumental sculpture was just installed in Venice by artist Lorenzo Quinn as part of the 2017 Venice Biennale. The two-story sculpture titled Support conveys a message of our changing climate, which is severely impacting sea levels and directly effecting those living in Venice.
Climate change is well and truly upon us, and for those of you who are still in denial, perhaps a giant pair of hands rising from the sea might change your mind.

The hands appear to be rising from the water, supporting the historic Ca’ Sagredo Hotel which like the rest of the famed city, sinks a little more each year.
Quinn’s creative work takes a strong focus on the human body (particularly hands) starting as small as jewellery designs and evidently, extending to humungous sculptures.
More of Support can be seen on Quinn’s Instagram.
