Bec Sandridge announced as triple J Unearthed winner to play Yours and Owls festival

Bec Sandridge has been announced as the winner of triple J’s Unearthed competition for a slot at this year’s Yours and Owl’s Art and Music Festival.

The singer/songwriter hails from Stanwell Park in the Illawarra, and will join the previously announced line-up of acts like The Rubens, Boo Seeka and Cloud Control. Sandridge told triple J “When I was 19 I went backpacking around Europe and randomly decided to go to Glasgow,  it was a bizarre moment, and then I ran into singer-songwriter Passenger… he asked me to go on tour but I was meant to go back to Uni. I called home and my mum was like ‘just defer; just have fun’!” With the recent success of her single In The Fog, In The Flame, she is now working with producer Tony Buchen on a full length album.
