Bella Deer makes a stunning debut with ‘Bloom’

Melbourne’s Bella Deer makes her debut with the gorgeous single ‘Bloom’.

Bloom is the perfect introduction to showcase Bella Deer’s confident songwriting and impressive vocal stylings.

Exuding strong confidence, in the fashion of Adele or Weyes Blood, and as equally capable of exploring her extraordinary great range as a vocalist, Deer is an artist who is taking a confident stride into the spotlight.

Written in 2019, Bloom was born during the downtime of Covid. Not one to sit idly on her laurels, Deer like a true alchemist created one impressive gem of a track. Bloom is a composition that strikes hard with emotive, rousing rhythms, strength and candour, navigating feelings of self-doubt and inner struggles – inevitably finding the light and power in acceptance and moving forward.

“This song is about struggling with self-confidence and mustering the courage to simply be yourself and accepting who you are and what you stand for. When you start to do this, you find that you’re accepted despite those fears. It also explores the frustrations with the lack of meaningful human connections in our society in a tech-obsessed world.”

Blooms production, was in the capable hands of  Joel Quartermain (Eskimo Joe, MEG MAC), with final mastering completed by Stuart Hawkes of Metropolis (Amy Winehouse, Ed Sheeran). The final result is a shining mix of indie and pop sensibilities that have an instant draw factor.

‘Bloom’ also has an accompanying music video, released today. Filmed in Ceres, Victoria with James Duggan (True South Film), Bella Deer kept the focus on the central theme of finding light out of the darkness.

“The ‘Bloom’ video explores the power of bright colour and light; it symbolises moving away from inner darkness and doubt that has been staring back at you in the mirror for quite some time.”

Bella Deer is set to launch ‘Bloom’ at an exclusive set of shows in Victoria this November.
