The sensational Benjamin Booker has just announced two shows prior to his upcoming performance at Byron Bay Bluesfest.
A New Orleans-based soul man, Booker made waves last year with his powerful sophomore album Witness, a biting breakdown of newly propogated racism in black America.
With the critically-acclaimed Witness in his back pocket, Benjamin Booker will be taking to Australia for two key shows outside of Byron Bay Bluesfest.
After emerging into the world consciousness in 2014 with his self-titled debut LP, Booker has toured with nothing short of the best. He has appeared with the likes of Jack White and Courtney Barnett, all the while keeping a healthy festival schedule.
Witness saw his reach extend even further, praised for its honest critique and fantastical fusion of soul, jazz and the blues. Australian dates are a rare thing indeed for Booker, so be sure to jump on these while there’s still a chance.
