Brighten up your Monday morning with the new single and video from Hilltop Hoods

Ahead of the release of their upcoming album Drinking From The Sun Walking Under Stars Restrung, Hilltop Hoods have shared their new single 1955.

Black and White video

The tune features Sydney songstress Montaigne and Brisbane beat-maker Tom Thum, and has been released alongside a black and white video, where the trio are almost unrecognisable dressed as middle-ages diner workers. Montaigne, as well as hip hop artist Briggs make cameos in the clip.

Hilltop member MC Scuffa told triple J the song was written about “living in a small town, a place where things don’t change too much, sometimes living in a small town is like living in a different era. I actually love small town life, obviously it has its drawbacks, but I really enjoy the simplicity and being part of a community.”

The 19 track Drinking From The Sun Walking Under Stars Restrung will feature tracks from their past two records, which have been re-recorded with the use of a symphony, as well as plenty of new songs.
