Britney Spears looks set to be making her long-awaited return to the music scene in a collaboration with the one and only Sir Elton John, with the title track ‘Hold Me Closer”.
The news of the collaboration between Britney Spears and Sir Elton John was confirmed on Monday, although details of the project remain limited. The title has been confirmed as ‘Hold Me Closer’, as per a spokesman via the PA news agency.
It had been previously speculated that the pair were working on a new version of John’s 1971 hit Tiny Dancer, which now appears to be grounded in reality, with John cheekily sharing an image to his official Instagram of a rose and rocket emoji with the words #HoldMeCloser 🌹🚀 on Monday.
Elton John’s recent collab with Dua Lipa and Australian dance music trio PNAU, who remixed ‘Cold Heart’ to perfection has been nominated for the Song of the Year and Best Collaboration at the 2022 VMAs. John has recollected, when ‘I’m Still Standing’ was nominated at the very first VMAs so it’s a delight to be here again with this song which has meant so much to me.
