Earlier this year rock legend Bruce Springsteen released Western Stars, his latest studio album which was met with acclaim from fans and critics alike.
Now Springsteen has released a trailer for the album’s companion film which is set to give fans on a whole new cinematic and visual experience of Western Stars.
The Western Stars movie premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival next month and is set for a wider release in October of this year.
Springsteen directed Western Stars with Thom Zimny, who was also responsible for Netflix’s Springsteen on Broadway film, and many other well-loved Springsteen projects.
The new movie features Springsteen performing all of the Western Stars album with an orchestra in a century-old barn creating a true Springsteen aesthetic that fans know and love the singer-songwriter for.
This movie is set to show an introspective, tender side to the legendary rockstar as was shows in his last film, Springsteen on Broadway. One thing is for certain, the Boss is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. The film is poised to make its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and will hit theatres in October.
