In a new interview, Demi Lovato says she’s been “feeling more feminine,” and has decided to use she/her pronouns again.
In a recent episode of the Spout Podcast with Tamara Dhia, Demi Lovato discussed her decision to re-adopt the pronouns, she/her. The singer-songwriter and former Disney actor came out as non-binary back in 2021, thus changing their pronouns to they/them.
“I’m such a fluid person when it comes to my gender, my sexuality, my music, my creativity,” said Demi during the Spout Podcast. She continued, “I’ve actually adopted the pronouns of she/her again with me…recently, I’ve been feeling more feminine, and so I’ve adopted she/her again.”

Today, the pronouns stated on Demi Lovato’s Instagram profile read, they/them/she/her. The 29-year-old global star said during the interview, “last year, my energy was balanced in my masculine and feminine energy.”
She added, “when I was faced with the choice of walking into a bathroom and it said, ‘women’ and ‘men,’ I didn’t feel like there was a bathroom for me because I didn’t feel necessarily like a woman. I didn’t feel like a man. I just felt like a human. And that’s what they/them is about. For me, it’s just about feeling human at your core.”
