Elin Hilderbrands ‘The Perfect Couple’ is coming to Netflix

The queen of ‘beach lit’ Elin Hilderbrand is gearing up to bring her romantic mystery novel ‘The Perfect Stranger’ to Netflix.

Elin Hilderbrand‘s New York Times bestselling novel The Perfect Couple is set to be developed into a limited series by Netflix.  21 Laps (Stranger Things, Shadow and Bone), and the Jackals Group, known best for Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, the Baz Luhrmann biopic “Elvis” and the soon-to-be-released Wednesday, are on board to produce.

 Jenna Lamia (Good Girls, Resident Alien) is to serve as showrunner and executive producer.

The six-episode true crime/romance official logline goes like this: Nantucket. Summertime. Beautiful weather. Celeste Otis is about to marry the perfect man — who happens to be from the wealthiest family on Nantucket. But when a body is found floating in the harbor on the morning of what was supposed to be the wedding of the year, everyone at the party becomes a suspect.

Hilderbrand already has two novels to screen adaptation in the works,  The Hotel Nantucket at Warner Bros. Television from Krull & Co. Her novel 28 Summers is being adapted for film by MRC Film.
