Elton John to stream classic concerts weekly, starting tomorrow

The legendary Elton John has just announced that he will be releasing a six-part concert series on YouTube. Two-hour videos of Elton John’s fan favourites will be available every week and all proceeds will be going towards the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

The foundation will also be contributing these funds towards COVID-19 relief.

Elton John: Classic Concert Series is set to be released on YouTube with all viewer proceeds going towards the Elton John AIDS Foundation in support of COVID-19 relief.

The authentic series will begin with John’s performance, Live at the Playhouse Theatre, from 1976. New episodes will follow every week for 5 weeks and each will feature a two-hour recorded live set.

“My Foundation’s Covid-19 Emergency Fund helps front line partners prepare for and respond to the pandemic and its effects on HIV prevention and care for the most marginalised communities,” John described.

“We cannot jeopardise HIV testing and care during this time or else the results could be disastrous for the 37.5 million people living with HIV. So, I’m really happy to connect this YouTube Concert series to benefit our Foundation’s urgent Covid response.”

Well said Elton, well said.

Live at the Playhouse Theatre features Elton John is his prime, performing well-known classic hits such as, Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, Daniel, Bennie and the Jets and the famous, Rocketman.
