Experience the outer limits of electronic music this Thursday at OSCILLATIONS

Newtown Festival 2019 is fast approaching, and this weekend Camperdown Memorial Rest Park will be filled with music, art, literature, workshops, markets, food, and fun for everyone.

The Newtown Neighbourhood Centre have been putting on a series of events in the lead-up to November 10th and this Thursday they’ll be immersing locals in left-field electro at OSCILLATIONS.

Newtown locals can explore the outer limits of what electronic music can be at OSCILLATIONS, a night for all lovers of hardware, noise, and musical extravagance.

Sydney’s finest experimental and electronic artists will take you on a journey through sound, from harsh industrial noise to stunningly beautiful soundscapes, right through to the darker side of electronic music.

Live performers on the night will include DIN, Defektro, cdot, Dysterhet, KCIN, Loose-y Crunché, Mija Healey, NO-FI and Okuesha, offering a wide variety of kooky and experimental sounds. OSCILLATIONS is set to be a great side dish to the more band-centred lineup at Newtown Festival.

Newtown Festival, as well as the Festival Series, are the year’s biggest fundraisers for the the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre. It’s important to remember that the festival performers and artists are volunteering their time for a worthy cause and all contributions received through the festival go directly to the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre and the people, programs, and services it provides.

And of course, don’t forget to head to the festival itself on Sunday November 10th at Camperdown Memorial Rest Park. You can check out the full lineup of bands playing right here, plus grab any further info you need on the festival’s website.
