After a two-year hiatus, Falls Festival will return in December of 2022, to a new location in Melbourne’s CBD.
The legendary Falls Festival is making its highly-anticipated return in December of this year, following two years of cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, for the first time in almost three decades, the three-day festival will take place in Melbourne’s CBD, instead of its usual spot in the town of Lorne, located in regional Victoria.
As stated by Falls Festival’s co-producer, Jessica Ducrou, “we’re thrilled that the show will go on at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, ringing in the new year in downtown Melbourne.” She adds, “thanks so much for all the support from stakeholders, artists and all who contribute to Falls.”
Among the list of international headliners announced for this year’s festival are US rapper, Lil Nas X, and UK rock group, Arctic Monkeys. They will be performing alongside Aussie-hailing legends by the likes of Spacey Jane, G Flip, Amyl and the Sniffers and Genesis Owusu.
